The main objective of Test Metrics is the capturing the plan and actual quantities of time, effort and resources required to complete all the parts or phases of Software project. It gives a measure for the software tested of percentage during testing at any point.

Test Metrics should cover the following basic 3 objective :-

1. Test Coverage
2. Time for one test cycle
3. Convergence of testing

There are multiple type of test metric. Different organizations used various types of test metric.

Functional Test Coverage → It can be calculated like following:

FC → Number of test scenario for provided requirements that can cover by test cases or the total number of test scenarios made for requirement.
