different types of Checkpoints in Quick Test Professional
Checkpoint is like a
verification or confirmation point where the value of some property
Which is expected at any individual step to compared with the real
actual value that displayed by same application. Checkpoints are
classified on be based of expected values as follows:-
- Page Checkpoint: This is a standard checkpoint which is specially created for a web page which is called Page Checkpoint. Main point why this is used it is that to check the total number of images and links on a website page. To check the Load Time it is used Page Checkpoints. i.e. time taken to load to website page.
- Bitmap Checkpoint: This checkpoint helps any user to check the bitmap type image or a full website image. How it work? It check and match the actual and expected bitmap images pixel by pixel to compared both of them.
- Image Checkpoint: It will enable the check properties for you like Web Image from Source file location. Here it will not check like bitmap checkpoint as it not possible to check pixels by pixels using image checkpoint.
- Text Checkpoint is mostly used to check the expected text on any application or website page. This text can be in a form of specific region of the application or any small portion of any text displayed.
- Accessibility Checkpoints verifies the guidelines and instructions for websites and application with the compliance of policies of world wide web Consortium metalanguage These Guidelines make it easy for for disabled to access the website.
- Database Checkpoints: Expected Values can be stored in database during record time by creating query. Then again same query will be executed in run time and then executed and actual values will be compared.
- Table Checkpoint: Dynamically you may check the cells content of any table which is appearing in your environment. You can check it also with various table properties like row height, cell width and so on same. These checkpoint is quite similar to Database Checkpoint.
