Definition of Testing?

Testing is a process or a flow of steps which are performed to confirm the correctness, completeness and the quality of the product. If product has passed in testing then it launches otherwise it’s rejected and sent for more work for improvement the product..

            Today all types of products need testing before launching in market otherwise manufacturer/seller can not earn profit and goodwill. Here we will discuss only on Software Testing, Part of Software Testing, Software Testing Techniques and all other related concepts.

What is Software Testing?

Software testing is the process of evaluating the correctness, completeness and quality of software or the designed website. During Testing if user found any bugs or issues then that part of software or complete software is reassigned to developer with bug report so that bug can be fixed. Software testing performed only to improve and maintain the quality of software.

Types of Software Testing:

There are mainly two types of Software Testing:-
i.                    Manual Testing 
ii.                  Automation Testing

Software Testing Objective:

  1. Finding Error: Main intention of Testing is to find the error in each and every case.
  2. Creating Good Test Cases: Creating such types of test cases which could find the undiscovered error in software.
  3. Quality Scenarios: Such type of scenarios which over all type of scenarios in software or a website, No hidden scenarios should be remained.
  4. Quality Improvement: Main objective of Software testing is to maintain the quality of software in a reasonable price and time.
  5. Risk Reduction: Testing is for risk reduction. When testing passed properly automatically risk of failure will be reduced automatically.
  6. Earn Customer Trust: If we provide the quality of software then definitely we will earn customer trust.
  7. Customer Requirement and Design: Confirm that requirement and design provided by the customer is completed and achieving all required objective or not.
viii.Satisfactory Level: Testing confirms that software is working on satisfactory level and software is now bugged free which can live on production without any hesitation.
