SMART Identification in QTP, SMART
Identification process in Quick Test Professional
Here in this section we will discuss on
SMART Identification process used in QTP. So we will use Web
Environment first time here:-
- Object Identification process fails for the usual object, Then Smart Identification will be triggered by QTP. This mechanism is more flexible for object identification which is enabled in the setting of Object Identification
- There are two categories which are used for Smart Identification, First one is:1. Base Filter Properties and Second one is 2. Optional Filter Properties
- Base Filter Properties: Fundamental properties of any particular test object class contains in it. Original Object is that values can not be changed frequently without changing the original object essence.
- Optional Filter Properties: This is extra properties which can help the identify the objects
- Learn Test object description has been “forgets” by the Quick Test and Object that contains new object list has been newly created that matched all the properties already defined in this Base Filter Properties List.
- Use of Base Filter Property is to reduce the Object Candidate list in QTP.
- Narrow Down Idea is to only one object will match to some or all the already saved properties of description.
- During a Test Run if smart identification is invoked Then a warning message will be generated in the test result tree indicating smart identification was activated or invoked and then a smart identification inserted a step.
