Bluetooth Settings in

Before the start, check
whether your computer or laptop has Bluetooth or not, if yes then don’t worry
but if your laptop has not Bluetooth then arrange a Bluetooth adaptor for it and install its drivers as well. It will make a Bluetooth icon visible on your

· Step
1 : Take your mouse to the that Bluetooth icon just right below of
your desktop screen on task bar and click on it. ( If the icon is not visible
then click the arrow button and go to Bluetooth icon, then select “
Show Hidden Icons “ this will make your Bluetooth icon visible.)
· Step
2 : As you click the Bluetooth icon it show you some options like “
Add a Device ”, “ Allow a Device to Connect “, “ Show Bluetooth Devices “, “
Join a Personal Area Network “, “ Open Settings “, “ Turn Adaptor On / Off “, “
Remove Icon “.
· Step
3 : As we need to on our Bluetooth before sharing any file from one
Smartphone to Other via Bluetooth, Similarly you need to on your Laptop
Computer Bluetooth before sharing or receiving a file. So, From these option

Remember : If these options shows “ Turn
Adaptor on “, then it means you need to on it, but if it shows “ Turn
Adaptor Off “, then you don’t need to do anything because it is already
on.
· Open
Settings : Now click on “ Open Settings ”, a dialogue
box will appear, in which they gives you some information about your Bluetooth
like – Option, COM Ports, Hardware, Share and Sync
1. Option : As you click on Option, it gives you some discovery and connection
options.
In Discovery you will see “ Allow Bluetooth Device to Find This
Computer ”, Click on this, it makes your laptop or computer
visible to other means Smartphone ( or other computer ) become able to find you
computer while scanning and only then your laptop can connect to that
Smartphone.
But if you can’t tick this then no device will
able to find your computer and you will not able to connected via Bluetooth. In
this situation discovery settings shows a line “ To protect your
privacy, select this check box only when you want a Bluetooth device to find
this computer “.
2. Connections : Now go to Connection
Option and use the other option according to your need like
“ Allow Bluetooth Device to Connect to this
Computer “ : By clicking on this option you give permission
to other device to connect to your laptop or computer.

“ Alert me when a new Bluetooth Device wants to
connect “ : If you tick this
box then your laptop will alert your whenever any new device tries to connect
with your laptop.
“ Show the Bluetooth Icon in Notification Area “ : This make Bluetooth icon visible on
notification area.
“ Turn Off the Bluetooth Adapter “ : If you want to off your Bluetooth then you
can do it by clicking on this option easily.
After all these options you will see a line “ Change Settings for a Bluetooth Enabled Device ”, it saves the changes you made in Bluetooth
setting so, click on this after changing settings.
“ Restore Defaults “ : While if you want the laptop to do all the
default setting automatically then click on this option. It will remove all the
setting you changed manually.
