In our holy scriptures
and texts we found that gods and demons fights several time to save us, where
gods are good, protects justice, saves their devotee and wants the welfare of
everyone. While demons are just opposite of gods, they always want destruction.
Demons like Raktbeej and Mahishasur got some blessed power from gods and
started torture common people. They took pride of their powers and fought with
gods, because of their blessed power they become more powerful then gods and
defeated them. But gods don’t want to common people to suffer so they created a
power with different types of weapon and blessings and that power was Goddess
Maa Durga.
To protect people and
for their welfare she took 9 form in 9 days and fought many destructive wars in
these days, she killed every demon and remove all the evil power from the
earth. This brings a new energy in whole world. From then nothing can’t happen

Goddess Durga take a new birth to protect us. When demon Mahishasur made people
suffer, it was Goddess Power Durga ( with the name Jagdamba ) who killed all
the demons from earth to Heaven.

There are 2 occasion in
which people celebrates Navratri
- First
in April ( Chaitra Shukl Pratipada ) and
- Second
in October / November ( Ashvin Shukl Pratipada )
In these days farmer’s
fields fills with fertile and healthy crops. To keep them healthy, protect them
from weeds, to remove financial or other problems and for happiness and
prosperity in houses, people worships the nine forms of Goddess Durga. Some
offers rituals and sacrifice to fire, while some worships for rain. All this
generate a positive energy in atmosphere, which reflects from peoples mind as
well. As God Sun remove darkness these two periods remove all the negative
power from home and mind.
