Steps to Create a
Dropdown List in Excel :
To create a dropdown
list you need to use Data Validation command from Data
Tools, below are the steps to create own dropdown list.
· Step
1 : Open a new excel file and select those columns in which you want
to work.
· Step
2 : Now go to Menu in excel and select the Tools option,
you will see Data Tools tap on it.
· Step
3 : Here you have to click on Data Validation.
· Step
4 : You will see a dialogue box, from it select Settings.
· Step
5 : In setting choose Validation Criteria, and then Allow,
you will see an arrow click on it and select the List. Doing

6 : If you can enter the range by own then good otherwise click on the
given sign, this sign will take you to excel sheet.

7 : From excel sheet you have to choose those names and information
for which you are creating this dropdown list.

8 : Now again click on that sign and Click OK.
· Step
9 : After all this go back to your excel file and click on those cells
you had selected in step 1. As you click on those cells, you will see an arrow
with them. This arrow is actually a list which you have made for dropdown
information. You can check it by clicking on it. So, this is how you can create
