Electromagnet, a word that consists of 2 different nature words, first is Electricity and second is Magnet. It has a principle that when we wrap a wire on an iron road and then electric current passes through that wire then the iron road start working like a magnet. This principle gives an iron road magnetic power. ( According to another way, rubbing magnet on the iron road, gives it magnetic force but we can’t call it Electromagnet because this process does not use electricity. ) Today we are here with such an easy experiment in which we are going to give a nail electromagnetic power and you can practice this experiment at home as well. Method of Making Electromagnet at Home Easily
Materials Required :
-    1 Torch Cell
-    1 3 inch long iron nail
-    Copper Wire ( covered with cloth )
-    Stapler Pin and
-    Allpin

Principle of Electromagnet :
According to Electromagnetic principle whenever you wrap an iron road with metal wire and then passes electric current through it then that iron nail starts working as an electromagnet and attracts all the near iron materials or other magnet towards it and this is called Electromagnet.

Electromagnet Experiment :
-    Step 1 : For this experiment we need to take an iron nail first which should be at least 3 inches long and then wrap a metal ( copper ) wire over it as spiral. Make sure that wire should be covered with cloth.

-    Step 2 : Now remove some cloth from the both ends of wire so that you can pass current in the wire. If you want then you can set allpin at both these ends also.

-    Step 3 : In the end touch both the ends of wire ( on which you have set allpin ) to both ends of cell ( + and - ).

-    Step 4 : This is how electricity will start running through the copper wire and iron nail will start working as an electromagnet. Now you just need to place some stapler pins around and you will see that electromagnetic nail will attract those stapler pins towards it.
