The weight of this ball
is 250 tones, it is 20 feet tall and 5 meter wide, but the surprising thing is
that it is frozen on a slope whose base is less than 4 feet. People believes
that this stone is Lord Krishna’s Butter ball, with that they said once Lord
Krishna was eating butter in heaven. Its small piece fell on the earth and that
butter turned into rock stone as it touches ground, that’s why this ball is
called Vaniracal in Tamil means Stone of Gods.
Scientist believes that
this stone was created by nature itself, while geologists say that that no
natural environment, disaster or thing can make such unusual shaped stone.
Attempts to Move Stone :
Once the king of Palval
dynasty decided to remove this stone from its place but after his many efforts
and putting his full power the king could not succeed in removing this stone.

Similarly in 1908,
Madras Governor Mr. Arther also ordered to remove this stone and used 7
elephants to complete this work but even after the combined effort of these elephants
the stone was unmoved. That’s why, this stone which is considered as Butter
Ball of Shri Krishna is still a mystery and surprises everyone with his
miraculous shape.
When you look at this
stone then you will feel that this stone will fall now, but this is amazing
that no one can move it even after they want. Not just this, earthquakes and
tsunamis also came on this place but still the stone is unmoved and people sits
