Step by Step Installation of USB PS2 Serial Bar Code Reader

Install USB Bar Code Reader :

·         Step 1 : Connect the one corner of bar code wire to computer and other corner to bar code scanner.

·         Step 2 : You will receive a CD / DVD during the purchasing of bar code reader, so insert this DVD to you computer DVD drive and install bar code readers software. To install this you just need to follow some simple step shown on your computer screen. 

·         Step 3 : Now set your bar code reader to your computer table properly or if you want to use it in hand then hold it in your hand.

·         Step 4 : After this go to bar code icon on your desktop screen and click to open it. You bar code reader is ready to scan bar code, so try to scan any bar code you have, your bar code reader will show you all the detail related to that bar code.

Install PS / 2 Bar Code Reader :

·         Step 1 : Shut down your computer and remove your keyboard ( if you are using PS/2 keyboard ).

·         Step 2 : Then connect the PS/2 cable of bar code reader in keyboard’s port. You can use Pass through Port also. The benefit of pass through port is that you can use both keyboard and scanner on the same time.

·         Step 3 : Now on your computer and Boot it, then insert the disk in your DVD writer to install bar code software.

·         Step 4 : Install the software and follow the instruction given on computer screen. This may ask you about your driver and bar code application.

·         Step 6 : Click on the bar code scanner application and open it. Now your bar code reader is ready to scan and when you scan any bar code then it shows you every detail related to that bar code.

Install Serial Bar Code Scanner :

·         Step 1 : Shut Down your computer and connect the serial cable.

·         Step 2 : Now connect the power supply to electric plug, with that connect power card in outlet as well.

·         Step 3 : Connect the cable of bar code reader in pink port given in the back side of CPU. You will see 9 – 16 pin holes for this port.

·         Step 4 : Turn on your computer and insert the software DVD to install software.

·         Step 5 : Follow the instruction given on computer desktop and install all the drivers and software to complete installation.

·         Step 6 : Set you bar code icon where every you like and click on it to open.

·         Step 7 : Now try to scan any bar code given on any material or book etc. If your bar code is connected then it will show you every detail on screen.
