Not just our country but

magic was started in a small country of Western Africa called Benin. Actually
there is a secret society named Egungun, but this society is well known as
Living Ghosts or Alive Ghosts. Peoples think that if anyone touches Egungun or
if any Egungun touches a person then they both will die immediately. That’s why
every Egungun wear a long Macintosh, colorful cloths and Singhe, so no one can
identify them.
Justice of Ghosts :
The main work of Egungun
society is to judge the quarrel, fight and dispute between the village peoples
and then pass their judgment. This is because village people think
that their dead ancestors come in Egungun society’s people and pass their verdict
and this is why the decision of Egungun society is consider being the decision
of God himself, and no one even dares to go against their decision.

of them. After this Egungun addresses everyone in clear and loud voice and
gives their verdict. On their way back home they take some village people with
them who have sticks in their hands as well.

one can touch Egungun and neither any person nor Egungun die without any
reason. Even those, whose comes with Egungun maintains some gap between them
and if Egungun want to relax in the way then these village people guard him
from all sides. Not just this, where ever Egungun goes, some drummers come with
him and Egungun dances on their music. The special thing is that not a single
Egungun ever tell about his Identity and never allow anyone to come near him.
The fear of death by touching Egungun is so high that if anyone touches them by
mistake then the person go in shock for several days.
