How to disable the press and hold accented character picker

How to disable the press and hold accented character picker?

This is new property of OSX 10.8, and the position can generate topically as well counting on type keyboard, style of typing and keyboard late the setting. Also such qualities deactivates the "character repeating" mode ( when we are keeping the key to iterate few characters). To fix this error, deactivates "Press And Hold" qualities and activate back the repeating mode:

1. Just Open the Terminal.app
2. Process the command given below:
defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool NO
3. Now Open the "System Preferences->Keyboard" and then set the "Delay Until Repeat" quality to one point next "Long".
4. Reboot or restart the computer.

NOTE That: For multi-users environments steps 1,2,3 need to repeated for each
account of users.

In OS X Lion how do we de-activate the press and hold accented character picker?

Lion informs the neat new quality that they called Character picker: "Accessing accented characters in OS X Lion is the breeze. Just clasp down the letter and dialog visible listing all the optional and speech patterned characters."

It is perfectly true -- if we have ever liked to the easier way to signal accented characters, Lion is got we completed with the real elegant iOS-like solutions.

However, if we are the smart ass like us who replies to IMs and chat message with points like "nooooooooooooo!" / "fffffffuuuuuuuuuu" then we are type of screwed on this one (unless we are not irritated by typing out every individual character instead of just retention down the keys).

So, how can this overly useful and inadvertently anti trolling quality be de-activated?
