Utilizes
To: Windows Server 2008 R2
If we like to move License RD from an already available Remote
Desktop license server to another computers, follow the following
simple steps to do the actual task:
- Documented the installation of our available license server
and our environment of RD Licensing, containing below information:
- The numbers and kind of Remote Desktop Service clients
access the licenses (RDS CALs) that are configured on the server
license.
- Which Session of Remote Desktop Host (RD Session Host)
server is installed to use the server of license.
- RDS CAL influence the documentation agreement.
- Ascertain the new PC on which we like to configure the
RD Licensing role services. For more information, check the
Checklist: Prerequisites of Remote Desktop Licensing Installation.
- Configure the RD Licensing role services on the new PCs.
For further information, test configuration the Remote Desktop
Licensing Role Services.
- Enable the new server of license. For further information,
test enable a Remote Desktop License Servers.
- Now Migrate RDS CALs from the available license server to
the newly license server with the help of Carry off RDS CALs
Charming in Remote Desktop Licensing Manager. For further
information, test the Client Access Licenses (RDS CALs) of
Migrate Remote Desktop Service.
- Install the RD Conference Host server to use the newly
license servers. For further information, test particular License
Server for an RD Term Host Servers for Usage.

we have assured that the RD Session Host server in our environments
are installed to use the new server of license, disable the former
license servers. For further information, test disable the Remote
Desktop License Servers.

past license servers. For further information, test and Uninstall

Note That: The customer that get the RDS CAL from the past license

the antecedent issued RDS CAL expire, the RD Session Host
servers request the new RDS CAL from the new license servers on the
behalf of the clients.

How do We move our Toolset license?
The given below process deactivated currently configured the
licenses that can then be moved to a new configuration.
To deactivated the current configured license:
1. Click Start → All Programs → SolarWinds →
SolarWinds License Manager.
Note: We must execute the License Manager on the
PC where the presently licensed Toolset is configured before we can
move license to the new configuration.
2. Test the product we like to disable on this PC, and
then click on the Deactivate.
3. Define the Solar Winds Customers ID and password
when requested, and then clicked on Deactivate.
When we have properly deactivated our items, log on to the
computers on which we like to configure our items, and then begin
configurations. When asked to particular our licenses, give the
correct data. The license we inactivated before is then allotted to
the new configuration.
