Monitor :
Monitor is that part of
computer hardware that sees, checks and shows data continuously. This looks
like a television and displays the videos, photos and documents on screen.
There is a port by which we can connect monitor to motherboard, but still is an
external part of CPU. Monitor has especially 2 types –
1. LCD
( Liquid Crystal Display )
2. CRT
( Cathode Rays Tube )
LCD ( Liquid Crystal
Display ) :
LCD is a type of monitor
but these are slimmer than monitor and use low electricity and have better
screen resolution then the monitor. Because they are light, slim and occupies
less space. You can use it anywhere whether at home or office.
LCD screen has 2 layers
of mirror, both are different from others but they are sticks with each other.
The first layer is Liquid Crystal, as electricity comes to it than its crystal
stops and releases the lights so that screen can be displayed. These crystals
have no light, that’s why LCD uses fluorescent lamp for their backlight. From

LED ( Light Emitting
Diode ) :
LED is a semi conductor
device, which passes light and displays screen when an electric current flows
from it. Its light is not shiny, but its wave has a long distance. This uses
diodes for its backlight and the type of color of its display is clearer than
the others. But they are more expensive then the LCD, but some thinks LED as a
version of LCD. The other name of LED is IRED ( Infrared – emitting diode )
because the output LED shows has Red, Green and Blue range. It has
semiconductors, first P –type semiconductor and other is N – type semiconductor.
It is lighter and slimmer even than the LCD.
Profits of LED :
· Works
on Less Electricity : They needs less power to complete their work.
· More
Workability : They can change their electricity to the radiation,
which releases less heats, that increase the workability of computer.
· More
Life : You can use LED for the long period.
