How can we set up our Active Directory?

If our PC are joined to the server of network account, we can qualify which networks user can log in to our computers, and we can list the names of authorized user on the login window.



1. Select the Apple menu → System Preferences, and now click on 'Users & Groups'.
2. Click on the icon of lock to unlock that icon, and then type name of administrator and password.
3.Click on Options Login.
4. Choose Now the 'Allow network users to log in at login window' and then click on Option.
5.To stipulate which networks user can log in to our computers, do any of the given below thing:
▪ To let the users with their accounts on the networks account servers login, click on 'All network users' and then click on Done.
▪ To let only particular user login, choose 'Only these network users' and then click on Add (+).
To stipulate individual users, click on Network User, choose one or multiple users, and then click on the Select.
To stipulate groups, click on the Groups of Network, choose one or several groups, and then click on the Select.

To show the name of authorized user during log in, choose the 'List of users' for “Display login window as” set up.

In the before articles we have completed or covered all the required prequest. So In available article we would install the ADS. ADS installation wizard can be raised by following thee ways.

• By executing the command DCPROMO.EXE
• From installation our server
• Manages our server
  

No matter what option we select for all three will launch same ADS installation wizard. we will display all ways.

- To launching manage our servers wizard click on the button start and then choose manage your server options

- To launching the configure our servers wizard click on the button start and then choose configure your server wizards from the tools of administrator.

- Now need to click on the Add/Remove a Role

- Now server will test the prequest which we have accomplished in our previous articles. Wizard would display the message regarding the error if any of prequest isn't configured properly.

- Wizard will display the list of all works which can be installed. Choose the Domain Controller (Active Directory).

- It will display the summary for ADS installation wizard after testing all required services.
- Now Click on the next to launching ADS installation wizard

- Similar wizard can be Launched straightly by executing the DCPROMO.EXE commands from execution menus.

- Now On the welcome screen click on the next

- Now screen display that win95 or sooner version of win NT4.0 can't be the customers of Server 2003 – Now Click on the Next move further

- This is the first domain controller in our domain so select Domain controller for a new domain and click on next

- First domain in first forest so choose domain from new forest and then click on next

- Provide the complete server FQDN name, we are utilizing eexample.com for practices we can select our own for this help.

- Automatically Wizard will create NetBIOS name of server, do not alter it.

- ADS is configured in NTDS folder, do not alter its primary location.

- Sysvols is publicly shared the folders. Automatically It would be share with all customers.

- DNS is mandatory by the ADS for decent functioning Choose 2^nd option to install or configure the Computer DNS.

- If we have any pre- windows 2000 clients in networks then choose the Permissions compatible with pre- windows 2000 servers operating systems OS.
- If we do not have any pre- windows 2000 servers operating systems then choose Permissions compatible with only Windows 2000 / Windows 2003 OS operating systems for Full safety qualities.

- Now setup the directories service save mode passwords. This is utilized when we save directory or remove the ADS.

- Click on the next after review the summary of our selections if required alteration of any options go back & alter.

- Now wizard will install the option we have chosen

- If we are executing this wizard first time then it require to copy few files form the Server 2003 CD, and then input the Server 2003 CD whenever it has asked.

- We shall install DNS server individually after ADS so gait it here to store time

- Click on Done to completed the configuration.

- Now required the System reboot in order to take place the configuration activation of ADS

- After server reboot is the controller of domain. In our further articles we will acquired how to confirm that ADS is decently installed.
